Eleuthera
Conch'd Out is located on the Bahamian island of Eleuthera. It is on the Atlantic side near the settlement of North Palmetto Point. Eleuthera is about 110 miles long and only one to two miles wide, so you can leave North Palmetto Point on the Atlantic and five minutes later, you will be in South Palmetto Point on the Caribbean side.
About six miles north of Palmetto Point is the town of Governor's Harbour. One of the island's three airports is located just north of Governor's Harbour, labeled GHB on the map, the other two airports being at the northern end in North Eleuthera, and the southern end in Rock Sound. Eleuthera is located about 180 miles southeast of Miami and 50 miles from Nassau. It is just over a one-hour flight from Miami or Fort Lauderdale to Governor's Harbour.
